Dr. David Paterson is a Research Fellow affiliated with the Australian Synchrotron and a member of the LINXS Community's Working Group in Imaging. With over two decades of experience in synchrotron radiation research, he pioneered the development of the X-ray Fluorescence Microscopy (XFM) beamline at the Australian Synchrotron.
Research Interests: David's work focuses on advancing X-ray fluorescence microscopy through disruptive technologies, particularly in detector design and data acquisition systems. He has played a key role in fostering the Maia detector, an innovation recognized with an R&D100 Award.
