David Novoa is an Ikerbasque Research Fellow and Visiting Professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). His research focuses on intense light-matter interaction in micro- and nano-structured optical fibers, with applications in nonlinear optics and ultrafast photonics. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Vigo (2011) and has held postdoctoral positions at institutions including the Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics (Germany) and the Centro de Láseres Pulsados (Spain).
