David Murphy

Dr. David Murphy is a Professor and Chair of the Environmental Studies Department at St. Lawrence University. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the State University of New York's College of Environmental Science and Forestry, alongside earlier degrees from The College of the Holy Cross. His research bridges energy systems, economics, and environmental science, focusing on renewable energy transitions, life-cycle analysis of energy technologies, and policy implications of energy systems. Recent work examines New York State's renewable energy policies and their impacts on greenhouse gas emissions and grid energy efficiency.
