He holds a PhD in theoretical high-energy and particle physics from the College of William and Mary (1997). His career includes over a decade of teaching at Eugene Lang College in New York City and founding a STEM academy for advanced high school students.
Education:
- PhD: College of William and Mary (1997)
- Graduate: College of William and Mary (1994)
- Undergraduate: Towson University (1992)
Research interests span physics education, astrobiology, theoretical physics, and interdisciplinary projects like science theatre. Notable collaborations include co-writing The Osiander Preface, a play exploring Copernicus's work, performed in New York City events (2004–2005). He has also contributed to philosophy-of-science books such as Twilight Zone and Philosophy (2018) and Jimi Hendrix and Philosophy (2017).
His publications blend disciplinary research with pedagogical innovation, including studies on student attitudes toward astrobiology and historical methods in physics teaching. Articles span astrophysics, particle physics, and science communication across academic journals and popular venues.
