David Meban is Interim Dean and Associate Professor in the Department of Classics at the University of Regina. His research explores classical literature, with emphases on:
- Augustan poetry, particularly Virgil's works
- Alexandrian poetic traditions
- Republican-era prose
His publications dissect themes like social memory in Virgil's Eclogues, ethical dimensions of Roman friendship in the Aeneid, and symbolic language in the Georgics. Recent work includes an in-progress study of historical mythology in Virgil's Fourth Eclogue.
