David McManus

David McManus serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, with additional affiliation as Affiliate Faculty in Biomedical Engineering at the Francis College of Engineering (University of Massachusetts Lowell). He holds key leadership roles including Director of the Atrial Fibrillation Treatment Program and Co-Director of CHORDS.

His research integrates Cardiology and Biomedical Engineering to advance Atrial Fibrillation treatment methodologies and Cardiac Monitoring technologies. Specializing in Healthcare Delivery Systems and Medical Device Innovation, his work focuses on developing practical clinical solutions for cardiac arrhythmia management through interdisciplinary collaboration between medical and engineering disciplines.

Dr. McManus actively contributes to research initiatives through CHORDS (Center for Healthcare Organization and Research on Delivery Systems) and M2D2 (a biomedical engineering innovation center), bridging clinical cardiology with engineering applications to improve patient outcomes in cardiac care.
