David M. Gross

David M. Gross is a Teaching Professor and Associate Chair of the Finance Division at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado at Boulder. He teaches undergraduate and master's courses in corporate finance, fixed income securities, derivatives, and portfolio risk analysis.

His research focuses on market structure, information asymmetry, and price formation, examining how markets assimilate external information shocks. He previously worked as a derivatives trader in New York before transitioning to academia.

Prof. Gross actively engages in community service, serving as a Trustee of the Boulder Community Health Foundation and Board Member of CollegeInvest (Colorado's 529 plan). He has held leadership roles at the Dairy Arts Center, Social Venture Partners of Boulder County, and Foothills United Way Investment Advisory Committee. He provides financial consulting to the City of Boulder and non-profit organizations.
