Research Interests
Dr. Lloyd specializes in beekeeping for sustainable livelihoods, focusing on improving smallholder enterprises in Papua New Guinea and Fiji through technical, business, and marketing innovations. His work integrates indigenous knowledge systems into natural area management, exemplified by the documentary Saltwater People. He also investigates community responses to environmental challenges like coal-seam gas mining and marine conservation.
