About
David Lin is an Associate Professor of Neurobiology in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying nervous system development and regeneration, particularly using the mouse olfactory system as a model. He coordinates the CityU Hong Kong Joint PhD Program and teaches courses in physiology, grant writing, and neuropharmacology.
- BS, Harvard University
- PhD, UC Berkeley
The Lin Lab investigates how the olfactory system maintains lifelong regeneration capabilities, contrasting with the limited regenerative potential of most central nervous system neurons. This research has implications for enhancing neural repair across the nervous system.
His teaching responsibilities include:
- BioAP 3110: Principles of Animal Physiology
- BioAP 6100: By Scientific Design
- Guest lectures in VTMED 5300: Function and Dysfunction, Part I
