About
David Lawrence Deitcher is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior at Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, located in W125 Seeley G. Mudd Hall. His research centers on synaptic transmission regulation, neuronal pathway activity, and neurological disorders. Previously focused on neurotransmitter release mechanisms using Drosophila models, he now investigates dysregulated neural pathways in conditions like epilepsy.
Research Interests: Deitcher explores synaptic transmission dynamics, nervous system regulatory pathways, and disease mechanisms (particularly epilepsy) through genetic and molecular approaches. His work bridges neurobiology, molecular neuroscience, and disease pathophysiology.
Courses Taught:
- AS 1102: AS Advising Seminar
