David Knight

David Knight is a chartered structural engineer and designer affiliated with the University of Cambridge's Department of Architecture. He serves as Director of Design and Engineering at Cake Industries, where he leads a multi-material fabrication team and structural engineering consultancy. Notable projects include the Cody Dock Rolling Bridge and Bracklinn Falls Footbridge, earning him the 2023 IABSE Early Career Prize. He actively contributes to academia through advisory roles in the MDes program and teaching at institutions like UCL and the University of Bath.
