Dr. David John Lary is Professor of Physics at UT Dallas and Director of the MINTS-AI lab, with adjunct appointments in Public Health (UNT Health Science Center) and Data Science (Baylor University). His research integrates atmospheric science, robotics, and machine learning for environmental health applications. Previously, he held positions at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and University of Cambridge.
Research develops autonomous sensing systems combining satellite data, IoT networks, and robotic platforms to monitor air/water quality. Current projects include airborne particulate matter mapping, exhaled breath analysis for disease detection, and machine learning calibration of environmental sensors.
