David Jaitner

David Jaitner is a full Professor at the Institute for Education and Philosophy, Department of Pedagogy, at the German Sport University Cologne. He holds a prominent role in sport pedagogy and educational research, with a strong focus on democracy education, physical activity, and the sociocultural aspects of sport. His work bridges academic research and practical application in training and youth development.

Research interests include physical education, motor learning, democracy education in sports clubs, gender and sport, youth participation, and the impact of social media on movement culture. His research integrates pedagogical theory with empirical studies in elite and grassroots sports.
