David J. Carney is an Associate Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he co-founded and co-directs the Legal Writing Academy. He joined the faculty in 1999 after practicing business litigation and municipal law at Calfee, Halter & Griswold L.L.P. His expertise spans legal writing, analysis, evidence, and appellate litigation, with a focus on developing writing, editing, and advocacy skills.
