David Hernandez Escobar

David Hernandez Escobar is a Lecturer and Scientist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in the School of Engineering. He is affiliated with the Mechanical Metallurgy Laboratory (LMM) and contributes to teaching through the SMX-ENS program.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Michigan State University (2021)
• B.S. in Materials Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (2016)

His research and teaching focus on the mechanical behavior of materials, processing of structural materials (metals, polymers, ceramics, composites), and the relationship between microstructure, processing, and material properties.
