David Greene is an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law and senior staff attorney at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. With over 30 years' experience in First Amendment litigation, he co-founded the Internet Free Expression Alliance and serves on multiple legal advisory boards including the ABA Forum on Communications Law.
His research focuses on constitutional protections for free speech, press freedoms, and artistic expression. He has contributed to the International Encyclopedia of Censorship and authored handbooks on freedom of expression.
Awards include the 2013 California Lawyer Attorney of the Year and SPJ's James Madison Freedom of Information Award. He advises graduate students and previously directed journalism programs at San Francisco State University.
