David Grant

David Grant is a Professor of Materials Science and Director of the Propulsion Futures Beacon at the University of Nottingham. He leads the Advanced Materials Research Group, focusing on cutting-edge solutions in energy storage and biomaterials.

His research spans two primary areas:

• Energy Storage Systems: Investigating alloy and intermetallic hydrides, complex light metal hydrides, and multi-component systems for hydrogen and thermal storage.
• Biomaterials: Studying surface modification, coatings, nano-composite structures, degradable materials, and their interactions with cells.

Grant's work aligns with the University of Nottingham's world-class research initiatives, emphasizing collaboration with academic and industrial partners to address global challenges through advanced materials science.
