Prof. David Fernandez Rivas is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Twente's Faculty of Science and Technology (TNW) in the Chemical Engineering department, leading the Mesoscale Chemical Systems (MCS) group. He is also a Research Affiliate at MIT's Mechanical Engineering Department and a Visiting Professor at Erasmus MC's Dermatology Department.
Research Interests:
- Bubble-based technologies for biomedical applications (needle-free injections, COPD diagnostics)
- Electrochemical systems for energy and environmental solutions
- Process intensification via cavitation and microfluidics
