David E. DeMatthews is the W.K. Kellogg Endowed Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin, with a courtesy appointment in the Department of Special Education. His work focuses on educational leadership, policy analysis, and inclusive schooling. Prior to UT-Austin, he served as an assistant professor at the University of Texas at El Paso and held roles in urban school districts including Baltimore City and DC Public Schools.
