David Doms

David Doms is an Associate Professor in the Music Synthesis Department at Berklee College of Music. He has a long history of teaching MIDI and music synthesis, including courses like Advanced Digital Sampling, Advanced MIDI Systems, and MIDI Systems. Prior to Berklee, he taught at the New England Institute of Art for a decade.

Doms composes and produces music for TV and radio commercials, including projects for NBC, Fox TV, Xerox, and Gillette. As a published songwriter with Warner-Chappell and DSM, his work spans music production, songwriting, and performing with his project Dreamtime9, which blends jazz/blues with ambient laptop music and spoken word.

He holds a Bachelor of Music from Boston University and regularly performs in the Boston area. His expertise lies in music technology, digital audio production, and commercial composition, reflecting Berklee's focus on Music Production and Electronic Music.
