David Dickens

Dr. David Dickens is a Professor of Forest Productivity at the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. His primary affiliation is with the Department of Forest and Natural Resources where he focuses on applied forestry research and extension services.

• Education: PhD in Forest Site Productivity (Clemson University, 1997), MS in Forest Site Productivity (Clemson, 1988), BS in Forest Management (UGA, 1985), and BA in Philosophy (Furman University, 1980)

Research interests include forest soil dynamics, fertilization strategies for pine stands, herbicide efficacy in competition management, and longleaf pine ecological resilience. His recent work emphasizes post-disaster forestry recovery and sustainable management practices.
