David DelPo serves as a Visiting Professor of Accounting within the College of Business and Leadership at Eastern University. He holds advanced qualifications including a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from Cabrini University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, alongside Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Public School Accountant (PSA) licenses.
His educational credentials are complemented by completed requirements for Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis (CSCA) certifications. Professional experience spans tax preparation, auditing, and staff accounting roles in small to mid-sized Tri-State Area firms, where he developed a client service philosophy emphasizing diverse assurance and non-assurance offerings with particular expertise in taxation.
David's research and teaching interests focus on Taxation, Auditing, Accounting, Financial Education, Management Accounting, and Strategy and Competitive Analysis. He implements a student-centered pedagogy that integrates real-world scenarios to foster critical thinking, highlighting the transformative potential of financial literacy. Prior to Eastern, he taught undergraduate and graduate accounting courses at Cabrini, Holy Family, Rider, and Monmouth universities through both in-person and online modalities, including specialized CPA exam preparation tutoring.
Outside academia, David is an accomplished musician proficient in piano and guitar, with additional intellectual pursuits in chess and creative writing from his New Jersey residence.
