David Crosslin

Dr. David Crosslin serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education at the University of Washington, with additional appointments as Affiliate Faculty at Group Health Research Institute and Adjunct Faculty in Genome Sciences.

His research expertise spans:

Dr. Crosslin leads translational bioinformatics research focused on implementing genomic medicine through the eMERGE Network, developing computational methods to integrate genetic data into electronic health records for precision medicine applications. His publication record demonstrates consistent contributions to genomic medicine since 2009, with recent emphasis on eMERGE Network initiatives including genome-wide association studies, pharmacogenetics implementation, and advanced statistical modeling of EHR-derived phenotypes.

Academic training includes a PhD in Computational Biology from Duke University followed by UW postdoctoral research in clinical genetics, establishing his trajectory from metabolic pathway modeling to national leadership in genomic-EHR integration.
