David Cicero is a Professor and Clinical Psychology Director at the University of North Texas' College of Science, where he leads the Clinical Psychology Program (DCT). He also serves as Director of the Center for Psychosocial Health Disparities Research and founder of the Texas Early Assessment Lab.

His research focuses on improving psychosis risk assessment and understanding its underlying mechanisms. The Texas Early Assessment Lab develops advanced statistical methods for evaluating psychosis risk instruments, examines race/ethnicity impacts in psychopathology diagnosis, and creates early intervention programs. His work also explores connections between aberrant salience, self-processing, and psychotic symptoms within social-cognitive models, particularly for schizophrenia treatment.
