David Christopher Medich is a Physics Professor and Director of the Nuclear Science and Engineering Program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). He holds a BS from Union College (1990), MA from SUNY Buffalo (1993), and PhD from UMass Lowell (1997). His research focuses on applied nuclear physics with emphasis on medical and health physics applications.

- Neutron-based in-vivo imaging
- Gen IV micro-reactor integration for campus energy/research
- 169Yb brachytherapy source development
- Am-241 atmospheric resuspension analysis
Research lab: Radiation Laboratory (Olin 014L). Active in both experimental and Monte Carlo computational methods. Notable contributions include IAEA emergency response guidelines and brachytherapy innovations recognized in Physics World.
