David Chicoine is the W. G. Haag Professor of Archaeology at Louisiana State University's Department of Geography & Anthropology. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of East Anglia (2007), M.Sc. from Université de Montréal (2003), and B.Sc. from Université de Montréal (2000). His research focuses on ancient Andean societies, particularly the north coast of Peru, directing excavations at Cerro San Isidro in the Nepeña Valley. Chicoine's work investigates the rise of divine lordships and explores interdisciplinary methods like remote sensing and geoarchaeology.
