Dr David Ceri Jones BA PhD (Wales) is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of History & Welsh History, Aberystwyth University. He specializes in the early modern British Atlantic world, with a focus on trans-Atlantic evangelical networks and the history of Christianity in Wales.
His research includes leading a seven-volume George Whitefield Correspondence Edition for Oxford University Press and authoring A History of Christianity in Wales (2022) and co-editing The Oxford Handbook of Christian Fundamentalism (2023). He is currently completing a monograph on Evangelicalism in Modern Wales and editing the Routledge Studies in Evangelicalism series.
His recent publications span topics like Christian Fundamentalism, Methodist origins, and Welsh religious identity. He has also contributed to media discussions on the evolution of Evangelical movements and their socio-political impact.
