David Campbell is a Professor in the Department of History at Mount Saint Vincent University, where he has taught since 2006. He holds a BA from the University of Prince Edward Island, an MA from the University of Toronto, and a PhD from the University of Calgary.
His research focuses on military history, particularly Canada’s army during the First World War, with additional interests in regional military development, cultural memory, and public commemoration of military experiences. He has authored a monograph on the 19th Battalion of the Canadian Corps and published articles on recruitment, tactical evolution, and social dynamics within the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
