David Butler

David Butler is an Assistant Professor of Business at Campbell University, specializing in teaching undergraduate courses in finance and trust management. He holds a BBA and Master's in Trust and Investment Management from Campbell University, along with Honors from the National Graduate Trust School. His professional certifications include Certified Financial PlannerTM, Certified Financial Services Counselor, and Certified Trust Auditor.

Prior to academia, Butler held diverse roles in the financial sector, including National Trust Examiner at the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of Currency, Senior Project Auditor, Director of Trust Operations, and Chief Operating Officer. He co-authored the book Trust Department Risk Management – Preparing for an Exam. Butler is based in Room 225 of the Lundy-Fetterman Building.
