David Berg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Victoria, affiliated with the Faculty of Science. His research focuses on F-elements, organometallic and coordination chemistry, with an emphasis on developing catalysts for industrial polymerizations and medical applications. He holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed postdoctoral fellowships under NSERC and Killam awards at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Berg teaches inorganic chemistry, including main group chemistry, transition metal chemistry, and organometallic chemistry. He also contributes to research methods training and graduate courses. In 2005, he received the Faculty of Science Teaching Award for his pedagogical excellence.
