David Balaam is a Lecturer affiliated with the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Puget Sound. His research focuses on International Political Economy, Security Studies, Food and Hunger, Trade and Finance, and U.S. Foreign Policy. He co-authored the textbook Introduction to International Political Economy (Routledge, 6th edition).
