David Auber is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Université Bordeaux, affiliated with the LaBRI research laboratory (Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique). His roles include academic leadership, such as heading the Master's program in Computer Science (since 2019), serving as President of the Master’s Jury, and leading the Big Data LSD platform (since 2014). He holds positions in public service, including 1st Deputy Mayor of Lachapelle (since 2019) and municipal counselor (2014–2019).
Education: PhD in Computer Science (2002), Habilitation to Supervise Research (2012). His career includes tenure as a Maître de conférences (Associate Professor level) at LaBRI (2003–2018) before promotion to full Professor in 2018. He has led research teams such as MABioVis (Models and Algorithms for Bioinformatics and Information Visualization) and interim leadership of the INRIA Gravité team (2013–2014).
