David A. Scott

David A. Scott is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Clemson University's College of Education. A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina, he has served as program coordinator for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and held leadership roles such as President of the South Carolina Counseling Association.

• Education: Ph.D. in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University

His research focuses on identity development, at-risk youth, and clinical mental health counseling, with applications in community settings and career counseling. Dr. Scott teaches courses including Clinical Mental Health Counseling Practicum and Psychopathology.
