David A. Mindell is the Frances and David Dibner Professor of the History of Engineering and Manufacturing in the Program in Science, Technology, and Society, and Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His work spans robotics, human-machine interaction, precision navigation, and the history of technology, with a focus on practical applications in oceanography and space exploration.
