David A. Fike

David A. Fike serves as Chair and Glassberg/Greensfelder Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, with a courtesy affiliation in Environmental Studies.

Research focuses on global biogeochemical cycles and their evolution, using stable isotope analysis to study modern microbial environments and reconstruct Earth's environmental history. Current projects investigate Cambrian biogeochemical cycling in Morocco, Martian analog environments, and micron-scale sulfur cycling.

Leads the Stable Isotope Biogeochemistry Group utilizing IRMS and SIMS technologies for analysis of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur isotopes across geological timescales.
