Dave Lüthi

Dave Lüthi is an Associate Professor of History of Architecture & Heritage at the Faculty of Arts, University of Lausanne. He holds a Section of Art History affiliation, focusing on architecture, urban planning, and cultural heritage preservation. His academic career includes roles as an archivist in Montreux, scientific collaborator at EPFL, and research assistant for the FNS-funded project Le bon air des Alpes. His interdisciplinary research emphasizes 19th-20th century Swiss heritage, patriciate-era art, and monument restoration history.

Education: PhD (2008) and dissertation (1999) at UNIL, both recognized with faculty awards. Publications include books stemming from research with UNIL students. Since 2012, he serves on the Federal Commission for Historical Monuments.
