Dave Freeman

Professor Dave Freeman is a faculty member in the Department of Petroleum Engineering & Geology at Marietta College. He holds a BS in Chemistry from Marietta College (1982) and an MS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma (1984). With over a decade of professional experience as a petroleum analyst, consultant, and production engineer, he returned to Marietta College in 1992 as an instructor. He was promoted to Professor and elected as Department Chair in 2015. His expertise spans production systems engineering, enhanced recovery techniques, and reservoir analysis.

He teaches courses such as Enhanced Recovery Production Systems Engineering II and Production Systems Engineering I, alongside the Senior Capstone Seminar. His professional licensure in multiple states underscores his industry relevance. As Department Chair, he oversees curriculum development and academic leadership in petroleum engineering and geology disciplines.
