Dr Daryn Egan-simon is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Chester, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. He serves as Subject Lead for the History PGCE course and teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate Initial Teacher Education programs. Previously a secondary school teacher in England and Wales, he now focuses on integrating arts, history, and citizenship education to foster transformative learning experiences.

His work emphasizes social justice, critical thinking, and inclusive classroom practices.
Grants & Projects: Co-led the Early Christian Churches and Landscapes (ECCLES) project (2023–2024), focusing on co-creating public resources. Collaborated with the Grosvenor Museum to integrate historical artifacts into teaching.
