Daryl Kenny

Dr Daryl Kenny is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the BSc Professional Policing Degree at the University of Winchester's Department of Social Sciences. With over 30 years of policing experience—including roles in Toronto and Staffordshire—he brings extensive frontline and specialist expertise. He holds a First Class BSc in Policing and Police Studies, an MSc in International Criminal Justice, and a Professional Doctorate in Criminal Justice. His research focuses on policing strategies, reform, and international criminal justice.

His career includes secondments to the Home Office, National Policing Improvement Agency, and College of Policing. Key research interests include global policing challenges, frontline supervision, demand reduction strategies, and non-crime policing roles. He has published widely on topics like police reform, ethical boundaries, and historical policing lessons.
