Darren Grice

Dr. Darren Grice is a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University's School of Pharmacy and Medical Science and Research Leader at the Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics. His research focuses on design and synthesis of carbohydrate-based therapeutics for cancer and infectious diseases, particularly developing conjugate vaccines against bacterial pathogens causing respiratory infections.

Research expertise includes:

• Bacterial glycan characterization
• Oligosaccharide synthesis
• Vaccine conjugate development
• Natural product chemistry

Current projects include PROTAC-based leukemia therapeutics and Gram-negative bacterial vaccine development. Teaches medicinal chemistry and supervises graduate students in drug discovery.
