Darrell Penta

Darrell Penta is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Experience Design department at Bentley University. His academic work bridges linguistics, cognitive science, and digital humanities, with a focus on language processing, semantic relationships, and the evolution of lexicographic practices in digital environments.

Darrell’s publications since 2008 reflect interdisciplinary trends, combining experimental psychology with computational linguistics. His 2008 thesis established foundational theories for first and second language acquisition, while recent work (2014–2022) examines semantic integration in grammar errors and essentialist cognitive frameworks in legal judgments.
