Darin Latimore

Darin Latimore, MD, is the Deputy Dean for Collaborative Excellence at Yale School of Medicine and an Associate Professor on Term in the Department of Internal Medicine. He is dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive academic environment, promoting collaborative excellence, mentorship, and leadership development across the YSM community.

Dr. Latimore's research and professional focus lies at the intersection of medical education, leadership, and health equity. His work explores gendered language in academic medicine, LGBTQ+ leadership training, and strategies to improve medical school admissions for Black students and other underrepresented groups. He is deeply committed to institutional climate improvement and faculty development.

His recent publications reflect a strong trend in advancing equity in academic medicine, with studies on women's leadership development, LGBTQ+ leadership gaps, and structural barriers in medical education.
