Daphne Liu is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychological Sciences, University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL), focusing on affective and social processes related to psychological well-being and psychopathology. She will join UMSL as a tenure-track faculty in August 2025.

Research Interests: Dr. Liu studies emotion regulation in major depressive disorder, romantic relationships and mental health, and affect regulation among sexual and gender minorities. Her work employs ambulatory assessment methods, including ecological momentary assessment, to analyze real-world experiences. She also plans to develop personalized interventions for depression.
Clinical Training: Dr. Liu is a licensed clinical psychologist with generalist training and specializes in couples and family therapy for diverse populations.
