Danijela Kirovski

Danijela Kirovski is a Professor at the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade. She teaches diverse subjects including Experimental Animals and Experimental Models, Nervous and Humoral Regulation Mechanisms, Methods of Testing Cells, Tissues and Organs, Physiology and Biochemistry of Body Fluids, Physiology of Domestic Animals, Gastroenterology, Clinical Endocrinology, and Research Methodology.

Her research focuses on veterinary physiology and biochemistry, with emphasis on endocrine regulation, metabolic disorders, and nutritional interventions in livestock. Key areas include dairy cattle metabolism, stress biomarkers, perinatal physiology, and the impact of trace elements (chromium, selenium) on insulin signaling and health outcomes.

Recent publications (2015–2020) demonstrate consistent investigation into metabolic adaptations during lactation, endocrine dysfunctions, and preventive strategies for disorders like hypocalcemia and fatty liver syndrome. Her work frequently employs molecular techniques to analyze hormonal pathways and genetic factors influencing livestock productivity.
