Daniele Rinaldo is an Assistant Professor (E&R Lecturer) at the University of Exeter Business School and a Research Fellow at the Land, Economics, Environment and Policy Institute (LEEP). His work bridges environmental, development, and mathematical economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva), an MSc in Quantitative Finance from the University of Padua, and advanced music qualifications from the Royal Academy of Music (London) and Musik-Akademie Basel.
Research Focus: Rinaldo examines drivers of deforestation, economic impacts of endemic diseases (e.g., schistosomiasis), and natural resource management under regime shifts/catastrophes.
