Daniela Vuri

Daniela Vuri is a Full Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Finance, University of Rome Tor Vergata, where she has worked since 2006 (Assistant Professor until 2013, then Associate Professor until 2017). She served as Pro Rector for Research (2020-2022), President of the Italian Association of Labor Economists (2019-2022), and Scientific Coordinator for the Department of Excellence 2023-2027.

Recent publications include studies on air pollution's impact on birth outcomes, historical migration patterns, and passive smoking effects on infant development. Her work appears in journals like Health Economics, Journal of Population Economics, and IZA Journal of Labor Policy.

Scientific honors include the 2004 Best PhD Thesis award (EUI), SOCRATES Fellowship (2005), and ECASS scholarship (2007). She has reviewed for major journals and organizations like the Swiss National Science Foundation and the British Academy.

Daniela supervises PhD students at Tor Vergata University and other institutions. She has received grants from the Next Generation EU program, Fondazione Agnelli, and the Italian Ministry of Health for projects on education, health, and labor supply.
