Daniela SURICO

Daniela Surico is an Associate Professor in the Department of Translational Medicine at the Università degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale Amedeo Avogadro. Her research focuses on gynecology, obstetrics, and reproductive health, with particular emphasis on pregnancy complications, endometrial disorders, and cancer research. She has contributed to over 150 peer-reviewed publications since 2003, including studies on gestational diabetes, hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, and extracellular vesicle biology.

Her work integrates clinical and translational research, addressing topics such as preeclampsia mechanisms, endometrial biopsy techniques, and the impact of sleep disturbances during perimenopause. She collaborates on projects such as an in vitro model of NAFLD-associated aging and evaluations of educational interventions for healthy aging.

Dr. Surico’s research aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being, contributing to advancements in maternal-fetal medicine and women’s health.
