Daniela R. P. Weiner is a Lecturer in the Civic, Liberal, and Global Education Program at Stanford University, part of the Stanford Introductory Studies under the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE). Prior to this role, she held a Jim Joseph Postdoctoral Fellowship in Education & Jewish Studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Education (2020–2022). Her research focuses on Holocaust education, modern European history (with emphases on Germany and Italy), and modern Jewish history.

Her book Teaching a Dark Chapter: History Books and the Holocaust in Italy and the Germanys (Cornell University Press, 2024) examines post-fascist educational systems' treatment of WWII and the Holocaust through textbooks. Current research explores baptism and conversion during the Holocaust, leveraging newly opened Vatican and Jesuit archives. Her work has appeared in Journal of Modern Jewish Studies, Journal of Educational Media, Memory, and Society, and Journal of Contemporary History.
Fellowships include the Fulbright U.S. Student Program (Germany, 2018–2019), the German Historical Institute (Washington, D.C.), and the Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies. She teaches interdisciplinary courses in liberal education, modern European history, and Holocaust Studies.
Advising and grants: Her research has been supported by multiple prestigious institutions, including the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media and the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies. She contributes to Stanford's undergraduate education mission through curriculum design and pedagogical innovation.
