Daniela Ivanova

Daniela Ivanova is an Assistant Professor at the National Sports Academy Vasil Levski, Faculty of Sport, Department of Theory of Sport Training. She has been appointed as a full-time faculty member in 2024 after serving as a part-time lecturer from 2021-2022 to 2023-2024.

• Education: PhD in Sports Theory (2017-2020), Master's in Sports Management (2012), Bachelor's in Short Track Coaching (1999)

Her research focuses on the theory and methodology of sports training, with applications in short track speed skating and physical education. She has extensive practical experience in sports coaching and teacher training.

Scientific and Sports Achievements:

• Three-time World Championship bronze medalist (women's relay)
• Two-time European champion (women's relay)
• Four-time European Championship silver medalist (women's relay)
• 1999 Winter Universiade relay champion
• Olympic Winter Games participant (1998, 2002)

With a dual career as both academic and practitioner, she has contributed to coach education programs and applied research in sports methodology and metrology.
