Daniela Cottica is an Associate Professor at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, affiliated with the Department of Humanities and the Research Institute for Digital and Cultural Heritage. Her research focuses on classical archaeology, particularly the transformation of ancient cultural and economic landscapes, environmental archaeology, and interdisciplinary methodologies. She leads and collaborates on projects such as the excavation of Aquileia's Roman port and studies of Pompeii's garum production. Her teaching spans archaeology of production/consumption, Roman provinces, and ancient urban planning.
